HighScope Team

Shannon has worked at the HighScope Educational Research Foundation for over 30 years, starting her career in the HighScope Demonstration Preschool teaching young children and mentoring fellow teachers. This classroom experience gave her extensive knowledge of the HighScope curriculum and approach, informing her role as Director of Early Childhood Development and the work she does leading the design and development of HighScope’s curriculum resources and professional learning courses. Shannon holds a master’s degree in early childhood education and has built expertise through writing articles about early childhood development, coaching, and assessment, developing and implementing training throughout the US and internationally, directing research projects in early childhood program evaluation for UNICEF and World Bank, and teaching early childhood courses at the university level.
